After an amazing 2006 racing season, T.J. Potrzebowski of Elmira, NY was honored at the Chemung Speedrome Banquet on Saturday, January 20, 2007. The Banquet was held at the Elks Club in Horseheads, NY. T.J. Potrzebowski ran 10 points races in the SST Modified division consisting of 650 feature laps. He and Tony Hanbury won 3 races each to lead the division with most wins but Hanbury lead the most laps with 185. Potrzebowski also claimed the Championship and the coveted Sportsmanship Award. “This was the kind of season you dream about,” said Potrzebowski. “But as good as it was, we’re gonna try and top it this year”. " I know that we as a team are capable of pulling this off". Potrzebowski thanked his team, car owner Ed McGuire, and his many sponsors for their support. He’ll return to the Chemung Speedrome in 2007 to defend the SST Championship. The accomplishments that T.J. Potrzebowski earned in 2006 include the SST Modified Champion at the Chemung Speedrome, SST Modified Series Champion, RoC Modified 200 Lap Feature Winner at the Oswego Speedway, SST Modified 100 Lap Feature Winner at the Oswego Speedway, Total of 7 Feature Wins and the Chemung Speedrome Sportsmanship Award.
